Golf shafts are the engine of every club, and this collection brings together replacement and upgrade shafts for drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters. Clubtech Golf carries steel and graphite options for golfers who want to reshaft a favourite club, build a custom set or fine-tune flex, weight and feel to suit their swing.

Shop golf shafts by club type

Every club in the bag uses a different style of shaft, so the quickest way to narrow your search is by club type:

How to choose a golf shaft

A shaft that suits your swing helps you launch the ball at the right height and find the centre of the face more often. These are the main specs to compare.

Flex

Flex describes how much the shaft bends during the swing. Swing speed is the usual starting point, but tempo and transition also matter. This is a rough guide for drivers:

Flex Approx. driver swing speed
Ladies (L) Under 65 mph
Senior (A) 65 to 80 mph
Regular (R) 80 to 95 mph
Stiff (S) 95 to 105 mph
Extra stiff (X) Over 105 mph

Weight, kick point and torque

Heavier shafts generally give more control and a lower flight, while lighter shafts can help add speed. A low kick point tends to launch the ball higher and a high kick point lower. Lower torque feels firmer and resists twisting, while higher torque feels smoother.

Tip diameter

  • .335: the standard tip for most driver and fairway wood heads.
  • .370: most hybrids, plus parallel tip iron shafts.
  • .355: taper tip iron and wedge shafts, and many putters.

Always match the tip to the hosel bore of your clubhead. Adjustable drivers also need the correct adapter sleeve.

Steel or graphite?

Steel shafts are heavier and give a consistent, solid feel, which is why they remain popular in irons and wedges. Graphite shafts are lighter and dampen vibration, so they suit woods, hybrids and golfers who want more speed or less shock through the hands. Graphite iron shafts are now a genuine option for players of all levels.

Shaft brands in our range

The range covers well-known shaft makers. Fujikura is a Japanese graphite specialist, with the Ventus and Speeder families for woods and hybrids. KBS shafts cover steel iron and wedge shafts, graphite models and putter shafts. Nippon NS Pro shafts include the Modus3 family and lightweight steel such as the 950GH and Zelos.

You will also find LA Golf, UST Mamiya, BGT Stability, True Temper, FST, Apollo, Orlimar, Wenst Sports and SuperStroke. Popular examples include the Fujikura Speeder NX White driver shaft and the NS Pro Modus3 Tour 105 Luxury Black iron shafts.

Golf Shafts FAQs

How do I know what shaft flex I need?

Start with your driver swing speed, then consider your tempo. Golfers around 80 to 95 mph usually suit regular flex, while faster swingers move to stiff or extra stiff. A smooth tempo can suit a softer flex than speed alone suggests, and an aggressive transition often needs a firmer one.

Can I put a new shaft in my existing club?

Yes, most clubs can be reshafted as long as the new shaft tip matches the hosel bore of the head. The old shaft is removed with heat, the new shaft is trimmed to suit, then glued in place. Many shafts can also be ordered with assembly options.

Does a shaft really make a difference?

Yes. The shaft influences launch angle, spin, feel and timing, so the wrong weight or flex can cost distance and accuracy. Two golfers with identical heads can get very different results from different shafts, which is why fitting focuses so heavily on shaft choice.

What does shaft weight change?

Shaft weight changes the overall feel and how quickly you can swing the club. Lighter shafts can help slower swingers gain speed and height. Heavier shafts often help stronger players control tempo and ball flight, and they can tighten dispersion for golfers who rush their transition.

Are taper tip and parallel tip shafts interchangeable?

Not directly. Taper tip shafts usually have a .355 tip and are made to a specific length for each iron, while parallel tip shafts have a .370 tip and are trimmed for each club. A .355 shaft can go into a .370 hosel with a shim.
