Houston Open - Tournament Preview
The PGA Tour stops off in Texas this week for the Houston Open which is held at the Memorial Park Golf Course. The course is a Parklands style course which is quite generous off the tee, but the bermuda rough is quite punishing.
The undulating greens have run-off areas around them so weโre looking for players who are strong off the tee with touch on and around the green.ย

Our Thoughts
Taylor Montgomery: Made the move to the PGA Tour with ease. Ranks 3rd in Putting Average, 3rd in Strokes Gained: Putting and 5th in Birdie or Better. Enjoying a stellar season where he has five Top 15 finishes from five starts.ย
Maverick McNealy: Young gun with his foot on the till. Comes off a T-10 at the Mayakoba, his fourth straight Top 18 finish. Excellent putter who ranks 4th in Strokes Gained: Putting, 5th in Scrambling and 13th in Birdie or Better.
Luke List: Strong driver who ranks 12th in Driving Distance and 7th in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee. Also ranks 13th in GIR. Won at Torrey Pines last year so obviously has the class.ย
Cameron Champ: Big hitter who leads the Tour in Driving Distance. Also ranks Top 10 in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee. Form is erratic but does have a Top 10 in four starts this season.
Danny Willett: In-form Englishman who, aside from a three-putt with the Fortinet Championship in his grasp, has been showing great form with the flat stick. Ranks 6th in both Putting Average and Strokes Gained: Putting.
