The Mount Juliet course is a Jack Nicklaus designed course and hosted the Irish Open from 1993 to 1995. It is a parkland style course with oak lined fairways, heavy bunkering and several water hazards.

Christian Bezuidenhout: Plies his trade predominantly on the PGA Tour now. Finished Top 21 in nine straight PGA Tour events. Won twice on the Euro Tour earlier in the season. Ranks 10th in Strokes Gained: Approach and 14th in Scrambling.
Sam Horsfield: Tremendous profile. Leads the Tour in Putting Average and Birdies while he ranks 5th in Strokes Gained: Approach, 6th in Scoring Average and 11th in GIR. Won both the Celtic Championship and Hero Open last year.

Mid-Tier Chances

Andrew Johnston: ‘Beef’ ranks 5th in Bogey Avoidance and 7th in Scoring Average this year. Good form on UK parkland tracks finishing 3rd in the Celtic Classic, 18th in the BMW PGA Championship and 19th in the English Championship.
Rasmus Hojgaard: Dane who absolutely dominated the UK parkland courses last season. Won the UK Championship while he finished 3rd in the English Championship and 6th in the Hero Open. Ranks 9th in GIR.
Callum Hill: Underrated Scot who looks well in here. Ranks 3rd on Tour in Scoring Average, 7th in Bogey Avoidance, 9th in Birdies and 13th in Putting Average. Finished Top 10 at the Wales Open and UK Championship last year. Finished Top 17 in three of his last five tournaments.
Thorbjorn Olesen: Ranks 7th in Strokes Gained: Putting, 12th in Putting Average, 13th in Scoring Average and 16th in Virdies. Finished Top 20 at the UK Championship last year.
Takumi Kanaya: Rising Japanese star who was the No.1 ranked amateur in the world for 55 weeks. Ranks 2nd in Scrambling and 3rd in Bogey Avoidance on the European Tour. Won in Japan in April and since has four Top 17 finishes in his last six starts.

Outside Chances

John Catlin: Mixes form but is a winner having won three times on the Euro Tour in the last 12 months. Ranks 18th in Strokes Gained: Approach. Finished Top 25 in the UK Championship and Celtic Championship last year.

Darren Fichardt: Profiles nicely. Ranks 2nd in Strokes Gained: Approach, 3rd in Birdie 4th in Scoring Average and 10th in Putting Average. Finished Top 14 in three of his last four tournaments including a T-5 last week in Germany.
