TPC Scottsdale has been the home of the Phoenix Open since 1987. The course is a desert style course par 71 course with three par-fives; 11 par-fours; four par-threes. 1 of the main challenges for players this week is dealing with an enthusiastic crowd!  This week we’re looking for players who bomb it off the tee but keep it in play.

Our Thoughts

Collin Morikawa: In good form with a 2nd in Hawaii and a 3rd in the Farmers Insurance. Ranks 3rd in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, 3rd in GIR, 5th in Strokes Gained: Approach and 13th in Birdie or Better. 

Max Homa: Comes off a win at the Farmers Insurance. Ranks 5th in Birdie or Better, 6th in Ball Striking, 9th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, 13th in Par 4 Scoring and 13th in Strokes Gained: Approach.  

Tom Kim: A star on the rise. Ranks 4th in Strokes Gained: Approach, 4th in GIR, 6th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, 7th in Birdie or Better, 11th in Ball Striking and 14th in Proximity. 

Taylor Montgomery: Been a machine this year with Top 15 finish after Top 15 finish. Ranks 8th in Par 4 Scoring and 10th in Birdie or Better. Finished Top 11 in the two correlation tournaments in 2022 and loves Bermuda greens. 

KH Lee: Finished 2nd here two years back. Ranks 4th in Ball Striking, 5th in GIR, 10th in Proximity and 14th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green.
