US Open 2022 - Tournament Preview
The 2022 US Open will be held at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts. Certainly not the longest course we've seen a US Open played at but the layout is quite hilly and has plenty of blind shots and tiny greens, (think Pebble Beach size). So, we're looking for players that can keep it in play off the tee, good stats in strokes gained around the green and a decent scrambler. Distance off the tell will help but we're not looking at pure bombers this week.

Our Thoughts
Justin Thomas: Won the PGA Championship last month so clearly loves any course Gil Hanse has had a say in the design of, see his 2019 win at Aronimink, and Brookline Country Club is another from the Gil Hanse portfolio.
Will Zalatoris: Has an insane five Top 8 finishes in majors in just seven starts as a professional. Ranks 2nd in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, 6th in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee and 6th in GIR. Will again be right in contention.
Tony Finau: No player has better form on correlation courses than Finau, who has rediscovered his best with back-to-back Top 4 finishes. He has finished Top 8 in the 2018 Northern Trust, the 2018 Dell, the 2019 BMW and 2020 US Open.
Mito Pereira: It remains to be seen if he can recover from the bottlejob at Southern Hills. He again profiles nicely though. He ranks 12th in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green, 7th in GIR and 7th in Bogey Avoidance.
Luke List: Powerful hitter who ranks 6th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, 11th in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee, 11th in Driving Distance and 15th in GIR. Looks well suited by Brookline.
